After talking about it for some time, I finally did some shoe shopping. I know, girlie girls usually love shoe shopping. Well, maybe I’m not so girlie after all. Oh let me tell ya, it was a major chore.
I’ve learned a few things about myself the past few months. I’ve decided I’m not doing the couch to 5K so I don’t need running shoes. I love aerobic dance, so it’s part of my exercise routine. The elliptical machine is part of my daily routine, and I walk a little. Okay, so that narrows it down quite a bit. I was looking for a cross training shoe.
After hours… literally… *huge major sigh* I tried on just about everything, in the greater Seattle area, that was a wide width. Okay, so not so litterally on that point… but it sure did feel like I’d been into every shoe store by the end of the day. I ended up with a New Balance shoe in a men’s 4E. See… really not so girlie girl at this point. But I love my new shoes!
Something about new shoes makes me want to get up and do more than my 5 minutes during commercial breaks…

I LOVE new shoes! They always give me a little extra kick to get my day going. I, too, have super wide feet and New Balance is the brand I always reach for. I have also found Asics to carry wide sizes. This, of course, is always in the mens sections.

Isn’t it funny how new shoes add that extra little kick. I am so glad the men’s selection of cross trainers come in styles women can wear without shouting out to the world we shopped the men’s department.
