This will be brief… ohmy busy life as a stay at home mom. What can I say…

Weigh In 9/28/07

  • Starting weight 268
  • Today’s weight 253
  • Weekly weight loss – Big Fat ZERO
  • Total weight loss 15 lbs

Oh, I thought for sure I’d drop a pound or two this week! I’ve been working hard all week long. As I stepped on the scale and saw there wasn’t any changes I was like…. what? This can’t be. So I stepped on it again. Then I tipeetoed on it…. surely it must be wrong. But low and behold… it stayed the same. Ugh!

*deep sigh*

Okay so what have I learned this week?

Gosh darn… I’m not sure I learned a stinkin thing. Hmmm… I’m in trouble next week. I had two bowls of clam chowder for lunch today. Uh-oh! How many 5-minute-for-me breaks do I have to take the rest of the day to make up for that? Blah. I’m not going to fret it today.

Now I just gotta remember I can start all over as of now.


Couch to 5K Taking it Slooooooow

Oh my gosh… okay, I’ve been getting in some good workouts this week, even on a day when I had a massive headache. But my couch to 5K program is slow at best. Oh my goodness! It’s hard!!! I always feel like I’ve actually accomplished something at the end of my little workout, even though I am taking it much slower than the program schedule calls for. What can I say?  I’m old and fat and my body doesn’t want to get up and run like a 20 year old anymore. Maybe if I was just old or just fat. But I’m fat and old. LOL Old? LOL

I’m sticking with it. I’m going to be up and running with my family by the time they arrive back home for the holidays!


First let me say, I know I haven’t been getting online to write. No excuses. I’ve read other blogs and left comments here and there, but I didn’t take the time to write in my own. Why I ask? I don’t have an answer to that.

Week #6 Weigh In

Wow! Where did my week go? Oh my goodness… this has been a long couple of weeks. Honestly, I’ve been stepping on the scale several times a day. Now, why do I weigh 3 to 5 lbs more at night than I do in the morning? I seriously wonder if I slept another hour or two if I’d lose another pound. LOL It might be worth a try sometime! 

Weigh In Week #6

  • Starting weight 268
  • Today’s weight 253
  • Weekly weight loss 2 lbs
  • Total weight loss 15 lbs

 Changes I made this week:

  • I started the couch to 5K program. Oh my goodness… it’s hard!!!!! Ok, today is my 2nd day and I haven’t gone out for my run yet. I’m planning on going to the track this evening, while the guys are all at the football game. I know… I’m missing the football game to go running?! What am I thinking. I’m thinking I’m motivated! I’m looking forward to getting out and actually running with my daughter when she comes home for the holidays!
  • I’m drinking more water. Measuring it and drinking it… learning to love it.
  • I’m learning to deal with emotional eating issues. This is an ongoing process… but I am much more aware of my emotional eating issues. Going through the deep down sorrow of a babies death has been extremely challenging. 

My uh-ohs:

  • Going on a binge eating spree last night after a big fight with hubby. The night before weigh-in? Why…. oh why.

Where I want to make improvements:

  • Well, I still need to write down my goals. I don’t know why I don’t just do it.
  • Planning healthier menus the entire family will enjoy.  
  • Keeping up with my food journal better. I go for a day or two writing down everything, but then I go for a couple of days without keeping track of anything. This far into this plan, and I would think this should be habit for me.
