Starting my New Year on a High Note

We are about to head out to the airport and send my kiddos back home. That isn’t such a high note. It’s been wonderful having my daughter and grandbaby home for 6 weeks. It was great having all the other kids fly home for 10 – 14 days too. We’ve had a house full of kids and babies. When I talk of a house full, I mean it. For the most part there were 12 of us. There were times there were 20 of us, and a few times there were upwards of 40 of us. 

Whoa… and I survived.

As for starting 2008 on a high note… I haven’t forgotten about my goals. I lost 2 pounds in December!!! YAY! I know, I didn’t meet my goal of 4 pounds for the month, but I feel great about a 2 pound loss during the holidays.

If you would have asked me a couple years ago about the possibility of losing weight during the holidays I would have laughed… but this year I came into this thinking I can do this. I will lose weight.

I know 2008 is going to be an awesome year for me! I have 100 pounds to lose and I’m going to do it…

December Goal

My goals for this holiday month:

  • Lose 4 pounds
  • exercise 30 minutes daily 5 days a week
  • drink plenty of water

I’m setting my goal for 4 pounds because it is the holidays and I want to be realistic. I will weigh in later… probably not until Friday. My daily exercise can be broken up into 10 minute segments…  I haven’t been drinking much water, so I know I need to add that into my daily to-do list.  

I realize I said I was heading out the door for a walk with my daughter… but I had to catch up with a couple of my blog buddies before I could log off. So now… I’m really heading out the door…
